Providence/Boston Center for AIDS Research (CFAR)

All of us here at the Providence/Boston Center for AIDS Research are mourning the passing of our colleague, mentor, and dear friend Vicki Godleski. She passed away on January 27, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Vicki was the Administrative Director of the Providence/Boston CFAR for over 19 years. She was born and raised in South Florida and previously worked at the University of Miami School of Medicine where she was first introduced to the CFAR back in 1987. Vicki has always been very committed to helping people living with HIV and working to help end the HIV epidemic. Besides her tireless devotion to the CFAR she was the proud mother of her two boys Jarrod and Justin. She also loved to travel to faraway lands and participated annually in the 150-mile bike ride to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis research. Vicki’s leadership, guidance, and contributions to the CFAR will always be remembered.
