The CFAR Administrative Core has built an HIV infrastructure across the partner institutions and provides oversight of the entire CFAR community with responsibility for sound management, organizational structure, appropriate resource allocation, evaluation and the promotion of inter/multi-disciplinary translational HIV research. Through efficient communication to CFAR membership, the Core manages a highly interactive and collaborative scientific environment across geographically dispersed settings in domestic, national and international sites. It is instrumental in the smooth functioning of the CFAR and provides necessary infrastructure and oversight to guarantee the optimization of Core services by HIV/AIDS researchers. The Core coordinates and facilitates the strategic planning process, fiscal oversight and development of CFAR policies and procedures and supports the growth of research and researchers in HIV/AIDS in a collaborative environment that promotes inter/multi-institutional, departmental and disciplinary research in the HIV/AIDS.
