Providence/Boston Center for AIDS Research (CFAR)

The need for safe & affordable housing security for PWLA continues; regardless of the advance in medical regiments. The no income/low income HIV population is particularly hard hit doe to the restrictive Tenant Selection Plans (TSPs) in place at the majority of private owned and managed HUD Project Based properties. Relative to care I have been the Director of Coordinated Housing Services for AIDS Care Ocean State (ACOS) for 17 years. Housing within ACOS is an anomaly; it is based on client needs, services, & presenting issues. A housing care plan is written for each resident along with their case management/clinical plan. Housing staff work as a team along with case management & clinical' not as a stand alone unit.

I participated in a 2 year Vax-Gen Vaccine Research Trial at Miriam Hospital in 1995.
