Curt G. Beckwith, MD
Biography
Curt G. Beckwith, MD is Associate Professor Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He conducts research on developing innovative HIV testing, linkage, and retention programs for vulnerable populations, particularly for substance users and persons involved with the criminal justice system. He has been funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse since 2007 and has completed a K23 career development award and led a multi-site R01. He is the PI of the Lifespan/Brown Criminal Justice Research Program on Substance Use and HIV and he serves as a Co-Director of the BioBehavioral Sciences Core of the Providence/Boston Center for AIDS Research. In addition, Dr. Beckwith is the Program Director for the Brown University Infectious Diseases Fellowship and he is an active infectious diseases clinician at Miriam Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital.
